That all depends on many factors. Distance, weather, traffic, oversized restrictions, etc. Per federal law, our drivers can only drive 11 hours a day and that’s usually at 10 mph below the posted speed limit. If your boat is oversized, it can only be moved during daylight hours in most states. And may only be able to be moved for a few hours on the weekends, if it can be moved at all. Each state has different rules. Our drivers or our owner will contact you daily to update you on our progress.

Travel lifts are essential tools in the yachting industry, providing a safe and efficient means of moving boats in various situations, including maintenance, storage, transport, and emergency scenarios. Their ability to handle large and heavy vessels and provide precise control during lifting and moving operations makes them a valuable asset in marinas and boatyards.

A travel lift is a specialized piece of equipment used to lift and transport boats, typically from a dock or waterway to a storage area or maintenance facility. There are several reasons why boats should be moved by a travel lift:

  1. Size and weight: Many yachts are too large and heavy to be easily moved manually or with traditional cranes. Travel lifts are designed to handle the significant weight and size of yachts, making it a safe and efficient way to transport them.

  2. Accessibility: Travel lifts are often used in marinas or boatyards where access to the water is limited. They can lift yachts from the water and move them to dry storage or maintenance areas without the need for a traditional boat ramp.

  3. Maintenance and repair: Yachts require regular maintenance and occasional repairs. Travel lifts make it easy to lift a yacht out of the water so that work can be done on the hull, propellers, or other underwater components. This allows for easier access and reduces the need for dry-docking or hauling the yacht out of the water with other methods.

  4. Seasonal storage: Many yacht owners prefer to store their Yachts out of the water during the offseason to prevent hull fouling, corrosion, and damage from freezing temperatures. Travel lifts are essential for safely storing yachts on dry land when they are not in use.

  5. Transport: In some cases, boats need to be transported overland to different locations, such as from a factory to a dealership or from one body of water to another. Travel lifts can load boats onto trailers or transporters for overland transportation.

  6. Bottom inspections: To inspect a boat’s hull for damage or fouling, it needs to be lifted out of the water. Travel lifts provide a controlled and safe way to do this.

  7. Emergency situations: In the event of a marine emergency, such as a sinking yacht or a damaged hull, a travel lift can be used to quickly and safely remove the yacht from the water to prevent further damage or environmental harm.
